The Hulk Whisperer begins

The Hulk roared as he stomped through the woods. In the back of his head Bruce is trying to sooth the angry hero but the Hulk doesn't appear to be listening. Swinging his arms wildly the Hulk tried to take his rage out on the trees and the grass. He roared again as it appeared someone was coming toward him. But it was a warning roar this time. "Stay away from me," it seemed to be saying.

Natasha takes a deep breath, and inches closer to the Hulk. "I think the big guy needs a rest don't you?" She reached for his wrist, gently rubbing small circles. "How about a lullabye?"

The Hulk huffs and starts shaking his head back and forth as the touch starts to relax him. He pulls away as his body starts to shake and change revealing a slightly green tinged Bruce Banner underneath. "What just happened," he managed.

Natasha watched as Bruce shifted, standing and walked back to Steve and Clint. "Top that, boys," She said, grabbing the blanket Clint was holding. It was one that she had used last night, and crouched down in front of Bruce, wrapping the blanket around him.

"In layman's terms? I put the Hulk to sleep," She said proudly, looking pleased with herself. "Shut up Barton."

"Are you okay Bruce?"

"It was weird," Bruce says pulling the blanket around him, "that's the first time ever someone got his attention and held it long enough for me...for us to calm down." He looks at Natasha, "I think we could do this again with some testing."

Natasha crouched down in front of him, smirking slightly. "It's a gift, but what kind of testing did you have in mind?"

"A enclosed controlled situation," Bruce says, "somewhere the Hulk can't get away if things go wrong. He seemed more aware this time. I'd like to explore that too."

Natasha nodded her head, seeming to follow Bruce's train of thought. She always seemed to be able to, they were very much in sync it seemed. "Where did you have in mind?"

"One of the towers training rooms should work," Bruce says, "they are sound proof, with hard walls and big enough for the other guy and you."
